Dumpster Rental FAQ
Quick answers about dumpster sizing, delivery, placement, payment, and what can go in a Boss Lady Boxes dumpster.
I have never rented a dumpster before. Is it hard?
Not at all. You pick a size, we deliver it, you fill it, and we haul it away. If you are not sure which size fits your project, text us a photo and we will help you choose.
What size dumpster do I need?
Most home projects fit in our 11, 14, or 17-yard dumpsters. Small cleanouts and garage jobs usually work with the 11-yard. Remodels and roofing jobs typically need the 14-yard. Larger property cleanouts and construction jobs often use the 17-yard. Not sure? Text us a photo and we will recommend the right size.
How fast can you deliver?
Same-day or next-day delivery may be available depending on schedule, inventory availability, and your location. We recommend booking 24 to 48 hours ahead when you can. Call or text 817-900-2677 to check availability.
Do I have to be home for delivery?
No. As long as we have clear placement instructions and safe access, we can deliver without you on site. Photos of the placement location help us get it right the first time. Let us know about any gates, low trees, soft ground, or tight turns when you book.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
The standard rental period is 5 days. Need more time? Extensions are available at $25 per day. Contact us before your scheduled pickup to arrange an extension.
What can I put in the dumpster?
You can load most household junk, furniture, construction debris, and yard waste. Some items require approval before loading.
Allowed, No Approval Needed
- Household trash and junk
- Residential cleanout debris
- Construction debris, wood, drywall
- Yard waste and brush
- Roofing materials, standard loads
- Flooring and cabinets
Requires Approval First
- Furniture and appliances
- Electronics
- Mattresses
- Concrete, dirt, and bricks
- Tires and batteries
- Hazardous materials, paint, and oil
- Propane tanks
- Heavy roofing loads
When in doubt, ask before loading. It is easier to confirm upfront than deal with extra fees or pickup delays later.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
Our dumpsters are designed for residential driveways, and we take care during placement. Most driveways handle them well, but surface condition and loaded weight can vary. Driveway protection may be available if requested and if appropriate for the placement. It is not automatically included on every delivery, and additional fees may apply depending on the circumstances. If you have concerns about your surface, let us know when booking and we will review placement options together. Boss Lady Boxes is not responsible for preexisting damage or damage resulting from unstable surfaces.
Where can the dumpster be placed?
Dumpsters can be placed on pavement, concrete, dirt, or grass as long as the surface is solid and stable. Allow at least 15 feet long by 10 feet wide, roughly the size of a large pickup truck parking space. If we arrive and cannot place the dumpster due to access issues, a $150 dry-run fee may apply.
How do I pay?
Payment is required before delivery. You can pay through our online booking portal or by calling or texting 817-900-2677. You can also request a quote before committing. We will give you a clear price before delivery is scheduled.
What happens if my dumpster exceeds the weight limit?
Each rental includes 1 ton (2,000 lbs) of disposal weight. Weight over 2,000 lbs is billed at $0.08 per pound, so you only pay for what you actually go over, not a full ton increment. For example, 500 lbs over costs $40. Extra weight above the included 1 ton is billed at $0.08 per pound. Overage is charged to the payment method on file.
How full can I load the dumpster?
Load materials evenly up to the top edge of the dumpster. Nothing should stick above the top rail. Overloaded dumpsters cannot be safely hauled and may require material to be removed before pickup.
Am I responsible if the dumpster is damaged?
Normal wear and tear is on us. Damage caused by misuse, including overloading, moving the dumpster, or contact with heavy equipment, is the customer's responsibility.
Customer Responsibilities:
- Ensure clear access for delivery and pickup
- Do not load above the top rail
- Follow material guidelines, call if unsure
- Driveway protection may be available on request if appropriate
- Pay applicable overage or dry-run fees
- Do not use heavy equipment to load the dumpster
Will I need a permit?
Private property typically does not require a permit. If you need to place a dumpster on a public street, sidewalk, or right-of-way, check with your city, county, or HOA first. Rules vary by location. Give us a call if you are not sure and we will help you think through the options.
What if I fill my dumpster and need another?
Contact us to schedule a swap-out. Additional charges apply. You can also order more than one dumpster upfront if you know you will need the volume. Just let us know when booking.
Who can rent a dumpster?
Anyone who has debris that needs to go. Homeowners, renters, contractors, roofers, remodelers, landlords, and property managers all use our service.

Junk Removal FAQ
Junk Removal Questions
Answers to common questions about Boss Lady Boxes junk removal for furniture, garage cleanouts, moving cleanups, bulky items, and projects where you want help loading and hauling everything away.
How does junk removal work?
With junk removal, Boss Lady Boxes helps remove items from your home, garage, driveway, curb, storage area, or other approved pickup location. You tell us what needs to go, we review the job, provide a quote, and schedule the pickup if the details work for the route and crew availability.
How do I get a junk removal quote?
You can request a junk removal quote online, call or text 817-900-2677, or send photos of the items when requested. For many jobs, a remote video quote may be available so we can review the scope without requiring an in-person visit first.
How much does junk removal cost?
Junk removal pricing depends on the amount of material, item type, access, loading time, location, and any special handling needs. You will receive a quote before the work begins. Boss Lady Boxes also does not charge a credit card processing fee.
What items can Boss Lady Boxes remove?
Junk removal is commonly used for furniture, garage cleanouts, household clutter, moving cleanups, small cleanout projects, mattresses, appliances that are approved first, and other bulky non-hazardous items. Some items may need review before we can accept them.
What items need approval before pickup?
Ask first about appliances, mattresses, tires, paint, chemicals, batteries, liquids, electronics, very heavy items, oversized items, or anything that may require special handling. Some items may not be accepted, may need approval, or may have additional fees depending on the item and job conditions.
Do I need to move everything outside?
Not always. Some jobs can be picked up from a garage, driveway, curb, porch, or another accessible area. Interior removal may depend on the item, access, crew availability, stairs, tight turns, flooring, safety conditions, and the overall job scope. Send details or photos so we can review the best option.
Can you remove furniture?
Furniture removal is one of the most common junk removal requests. Couches, chairs, tables, dressers, bed frames, and similar household furniture can often be removed if access is safe and the item is approved for pickup.
Can you remove appliances?
Some appliances may be accepted with approval first. Appliance removal can depend on the appliance type, size, condition, location, access, and any special handling requirements. Ask before scheduling so we can confirm whether the item can be removed and whether additional fees apply.
Can you help with a garage cleanout or moving cleanup?
Yes, junk removal can be a good fit for garage cleanouts, moving cleanups, decluttering projects, and bulky-item removal when you want help loading and hauling items away. For larger projects, we may also discuss whether a dumpster rental would be a better fit.
Should I choose junk removal or rent a dumpster?
Choose junk removal when you want help loading and hauling items away. Choose a dumpster rental when you want to load at your own pace over a rental period. If you are not sure which option fits better, call or text 817-900-2677 and we can help you compare.
Can I schedule same-day or next-day junk removal?
Same-day or next-day junk removal may be available depending on schedule, route availability, location, job size, access, and the time of your request. The earlier you reach out, the easier it is to check what is available.
What should I do before the crew arrives?
Please make sure we can safely access the items. Move vehicles if needed, unlock gates, clear pets from the work area, point out anything that should stay, and let us know about stairs, tight turns, low trees, parking limits, or access issues before arrival.
